Maca Latte [RECIPE]

This drank is one of my faves! I made it one morning to test a recipe with collagen peptides + maca powder + full fats and it's been my go-to ever since. My metabolism is kicking in the beginning of the day so I always fuel up with a big breakfast and this healthy fat filled drink. It's like clockwork, I usually get hungry right at 10am after I've been at work for an hour or so. But on mornings I have this Maca Latte, I can last into the 11 o'clock hour. I hope you love this as much as I do!

 

the deets:

1/2 cup coconut milk

1/2 cup cashew or almond milk

1 Tbsp grass fed butter

1 scoop collagen peptides

1 cap full vanilla extract

2 Tbsp maca powder

2 Tbsp filtered water

Heat the milks and vanilla in a pot over medium-high heat. Add the butter, stir to melt. Using a whisk, quickly stir in the collagen peptides. In a separate container, mix the maca powder with the water. This helps it dissolve -- otherwise, the maca clumps and has a hard time dissolving into the milk mixture. Once the maca and water have combined to make a golden brown liquid, stir it on in to the pot. Heat until warm, froth with a whisk if you'd like, and enjoy!
